The Sony PVM-9L3 is a full-featured 9-inch field monitor with 450 lines of resolution. Its Trinitron picture tube displays the most accurate colors and natural contrast in the industry. The monitor can accept optional boards for component, SDI and even iLINK, Sony's version of Firewire. In addition to its obvious field production value, the 9L3 can be rack mounted for integration for studio use.

The BKM-120D gives SDI inputs and outputs. The BKM-129X allows for analog component connectivity. And the BKM-155DV lets the monitor accept iLINK/Firewire/IEEE1394 digital signals directly from your camcorder or VTR without any intermediate analog conversions.

- Perfect Color Set-up
The PVM-9L3 has, among its many features, a front panel button for Blue-Gun display. This feature enables signal noise to be easily evaluated. It also allows the monitor's chroma and phase adjustments to be make using SMPTE color bars (for NTSC only).

- Widescreen Display Feature
More common than ever 16:9 acquisition is required for footage for HDTV and DVD content. The PVM-9L3 monitor can display 16:9 footage in true widescreen. The monitor can be switched between 16:9 and 4:3 aspect using a simple front panel button.

Tally lamp - Single colour for tally lamp is available when used with a compatible video mixer this will tell you which stream is currently being sent to output.

Underscan - Entire picture area displayed to check picture edges.

Blue only - Noise on signals can be precisely evaluated and chroma adjustments can be easily made with the blue only display.
